How do I set up Purchasing Accounts for MLB tickets?
The MLB Ballpark and the individual team purchasing account(s) are required in Optimal. Having these accounts set up correctly helps automated delivery run smoothly, aiding the fulfillment team with manual transfers and re-transfers. It also provides more options for troubleshooting any account and delivery issues.
The majority of MLB teams use Tickets.com as the primary seller.
IMPORTANT: You cannot use the same MLB.com (MLB Ballpark login) account for Ticketmaster AM and Tickets.com teams. For example, if you have New York Yankees (Ticketmaster AM) and Boston Red Sox (Tickets.com) tickets, you will need separate MLB.com logins for each.
Tickets.com Purchasing Accounts
For tickets managed through tickets.com, the following purchasing accounts must be in Optimal:
- MLB Ballpark App: Active
- Tickets.com team account: Inactive
MLB.com Purchasing Accounts
For tickets managed through MLB.com, the following purchasing accounts must be in Optimal:
- MLB Ballpark: Inactive
- Ticketmaster AM: Active
